E3D2.1 -> Navisworks2017 // Attribute Dumpfile

Hello All,

I have no idea what's wrong.
I create a DUMP file in E3D Model, by GUI or by an older macro,
When I try to open RVM and ATT file in Navisworks, I get a message:
"No valid Plug-In found."
Looking in some Autodesk rooms, I found "supported up to PDMS 12.0.SP5"...

WOW!

How do you get the attribute data into Navis ?!?!

Hello Herbert,

Unfortunatly I haven't got 2017 version available, but on Manage 2018 it works fine. Perhaps it's about Encoding? At least in Simulate 2015 requires UTF-8 encoding...
Which module do you use, Simulate or Manage? I know this message "No valid Plug-In found." only from Freedom. I hope Autodesk doesn't leave this plugin out in Simulate too

Hatte das Gleiche Problem. Der Header (erste Zeile) hat sich beim DUMP File aus E3D geändert, womit Navisworks nichts anfangen konnte.

Sorry, Navisworks Manage 2016 is the Version.
@Guido: Can you send me an "working example" for the Header?
I saw something with PDMS12.0.SP5, but I do not have this version anymore...

File Encoding is "UTF-8" also tried "UTF-8 without BOM" --> Info from Notepad++

For PDMS12.1.SP4 is the first line in the dump file:
CADC_Attributes_File v1.0 , start: NEW , end: END , name_end: := , sep: &end&

For E3D 2.1 is the first line in the dump file:
AVEVA_Attributes_File v1.0 , start: NEW , end: END , name_end: := , sep: &end&

When I change the first line in the dump file from "AVEVA_Attributes_File" into "CADC_Attributes_File" it works; otherwise not.
